Team-Based Leadership is an approach that emphasizes collaboration and shared values within a team. Through team-based leadership, broad expertise is valued, individuals exercise their strengths to solve problems, and members collectively contribute to ensure student needs are met.
Core Instruction is the foundation of grade-level, standards-based learning and is delivered daily to all students in a general education setting. Core instruction is student-centered, allowing all students opportunities to develop, learn, and grow. Teachers demonstrate responsiveness to student learning by differentiating instruction based on assessment data.
Intervention System provides a continuum of support and services that complement core instruction. Interventions are individualized to meet students’ diverse strengths and needs. The MTSS Intervention System uses data to guide evidence-based interventions that are specific, time-bound, and include clear progress indicators.
Data-informed decision making incorporates a team-based approach to systematically collect, analyze, and interpret data on the whole child. Data-informed decision making relies upon a balanced assessment system that informs instructional planning, progress monitoring, and continuous improvement.
