John Henry

This lesson is about the legend of John Henry. I think second graders are studying about this story, or will soon.

There is one objective:

I can select music for a purpose.

Selecting Music. Think about the story of John Henry and the steam drill. What kind of music would show the contest? Would it be fast? slow? Loud? Soft? What instruments?
