Lynn Boys and Girls Club Summer Camp
For the past 3 years now, I've been working at Camp Creighton, a summer camp located in Middleton that serves youth from neighboring towns as well as the Boys and Girls Club of Lynn, Massachusetts. In all, there are about 200 kids who attend the camp each week. Camp Creighton offers kids, especially those from urban areas, an opportunity to experience the joys of camp life that they may otherwise not be able to. These activities include fishing, swimming, playing sports, and much more. I've truly cherished my time as a counselor at Camp Creighton. Working with these kids and giving them an invaluable experience at camp has been an indescribable feeling that I'll always hold dear.Â
Greater Boston Food Bank
I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank with the Mankind Movement, an affinity group at Bentley University focused on bringing African Americans together. The GBFB is one of the largest food banks in New England and serves hundreds of thousands of people dealing with food insecurity.
