I volunteered at my school's gardening internship during the summer break before my junior year of high school. I learned a lot about the various fruits and vegetables that grow in the garden and what times of year they are best grown. I first helped clean the garden to give the best environment to grow fruits and vegetables. Then my friends and I helped grow many vegetables in our designated garden space. Out of all the vegetables that we grew, cucumbers were the most successful plant and unfortunately, Bok Choi was the least successful as not a single seed germinated. After we rounded up all our fruits and vegetables we donated them to the local organization Neighbors in Need to help provide locals with fresh produce.
