IRT Slides

These IRT slides were the culmination of our first dive into researching a topic in depth, which were completed in small groups as a way to get everyone familiar and comfortable with researching a topic, which would build the foundation of the skills used in creating our projects. Our particular group chose to explore the origins of the Barbie doll and Mattel as a company, studying how the company and its products have influenced our society and changed gender roles. 

Moth Slides

This slide was used as the backdrop for my MOTH story, which was the first solo presentation we had to do, the goal was to prepare us for the end of the year talk we give in which we explain our topic and what we found in our research to a large audience. In my story I chose to explain my history with the sport of soccer, from when I was growing up being forced to play, to falling in love with the sport after a visit to Seville, Spain, to getting cut from my high school soccer team twice, to finally helping coach youth soccer in the fall of my senior year. 

Update 1

This three slide presentation was created as an initial update after the first few weeks of primary research of our topics and we were asked to explain what we had finished, what we were working on, and what we had planned. In my slides I detailed how I had created a travel survey which had been sent out to high school and college students, was working on collecting and analyzing the survey data, and was planning to interview people working in the travel industry.
