As It would sound, everything under this section happened on the 1st term of 8th grade D.M. 2. Many things happened here and I bet I've forgotten most of them by the time I reread this like... 10 years in the furture.
These were the first major creating assignments I could find at the beginning of the term. It involved just tracing with the pen tool on Adobe... that was about it.
This image is based on the "Christ Giving the Keys of the Kingdom to St. Peter" painting. I fully traced the building in the background to represent symmetry and to represent my pen tool skills.
As it sounds, I was trying to make something that had a good grid layout and that showed my history buff. I love history not going to lie, especially this year of learning it has been amazing.
P.S. This assignment was the first one where "The Lovving Man" got mad at us... so yeah.
I don't know what it means by the 2, but what I do know is that this was made for an upcoming celebration! National Hispanic Heritage Month!!! And September Events, I guess. This assignment was made to put symmetry and grid layout together, which I think I did fine with.
This assignment was given most likely so that the teachers didn't have to make these posters themselves... and to have us get better at design at the same time. This was one of the easier assignments, but at the same time, I don't like my library design too much, so I bet it was partially short due to poor design skills.
For the beginning of October, we had to make this... Yeah. It's not my best work, but I remember trying to find all of those different fonts to match the word. It took way too long and I couldn't even finish it, which is why there are three spaces open.
Yet I got a 100!
First of all, the image was so well made that it won't crop correctly, so that's nice. Second, this image was based on a crappy image and I just made it a bit better, by adding symmetry... kind of.
This was made so I would have an easier time with an upcoming test about "fair use" and "Creative Commons." I actually don't remember how well I did on the test, but I do remember fearing it big time.
I made this for my excellent theater teacher, Mr.Fellers, whom I thank entirely for my acting ability and overall improvement in middle school. Fun fact, I actually did send this to him! I remember he just said thank you.
The image still couldn't be cropped well.
There was a part 1 to this exam, but it was just filling in a big sheet of digital paper. This design gives me a heartbreak every time I see it, because it took me a month to finally look at what "The Lovving Man" suggested about this art, and it wasn't very good stuff he talked about. I just remember it being the only time I was sad in class, because now I see the overarching fact that I write way too much as I do now. That is because I'm a writer of multiple ongoing stories, but it really hurt to see what the teacher had to say about this one. Le sniff.
-Just me a' ranting-
This was a simple design made for my 6th grade science teacher, for she was retiring. Amazing teacher! I hope she is having a good time at like... Tahiti or something.
And that's it???
The other projects are in term two... so go to the category if you want to see that. 👍
