Open Educational Resources (OER) are free to use materials that teachers can use when teaching in a blended or online learning environment. There are many OER platforms that contain materials for all grade levels and subject areas. These materials come in a variety of formats including worksheets, lesson plans, videos, articles, games, project based learning activities, labs, and other formats similar to what you might find in our online publisher platforms.
One benefit of OER is that many of the platforms are simple to navigate and it is easy find materials that fit the exact grade level, subject area, and topic you are looking for. In addition, they are also crowd-sourced and often vetted for quality by teachers around the world because they are made by teachers just like you! See below for additional information about OER and how you can start using them in your online learning environment.

Online Teacher Tip: Combine multiple resources together to build a "playlist" of material for a particular lesson. Students learn in many different ways. Some prefer to watch videos, others prefer to read, and others enjoy hands on explorations. By combining a variety of resources around one topic or lesson, you increase access to the learning material for students with different learning preferences.
