The Student Council and its Purpose

The 11th ACS Athens grade Student Council elections took place in the theatre of the school on the 21st of September. The student council is a group of students who are elected by their classmates at the beginning of each school year. It is meant to be the voice of all the students in the grade. Students should be able to address their issues or concerns about the school to the student council, so that they can try and make a change.

Semi-finals at the St. Catherine's Debate Cup

Sailing to Byzantium

On October 22-23, the Humanities class went on a field study of byzantine site of Mystra. On Saturday the class stopped at the Dafni Monastery during the bus ride to marvel at the golden mosaics. On Sunday, they went to the actual Mystra site and spent the entire day there visiting one structure after another. Then on Sunday they travelled back to school with the bus stopping at the lovely Kesariani monastery. At the center of it all was the essential question of “What gives life meaning”.
