Students and Families
Learn at Home
Thank you for being such a wonderful partner in your child’s education. Your child’s teacher will guide you through the transition to remote learning so that your child will quickly adapt, and thrive in this new learning environment. On the Learn at Home page you will find three important and related areas for parents: Information, Activities, and Technical Tools and Support.
To keep students connected and meeting academic requirements when learning remotely, the DOE has created student accounts for every single New York City public school student, including 3K and Pre-K students. The account gives your student access to Google Classroom and Microsoft Office 365, through the Remote Learning Portal.
School Based Testing Consent
Beginning October 2020, we will begin monthly random testing of students and staff in New York City school buildings. Provide consent to test your child for COVID-19 directly through NYCSA.
Please see the COVID-19 School-Based Testing Programs page to learn more.
Sign in and consent to COVID testing for your child, today.
NYC Schools Account
Did you know that you can track your child’s education on any computer, phone, or tablet? The NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) is an app that lets you see your student’s grades, attendance, fitness results, schedule, and more from anywhere and in all DOE languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, English, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu. Get started right now!
Activities for Students and Families
We encourage you to use these activities for students and families to connect with your child or children while they are at home. There are resources for students in all grades, from Early Learn through elementary and middle school, and for high school
Device Requests & Technical Support for Families

The process for requesting devices was recently updated. Please contact your school for more information and support.
For students that have not signed the device agreement form or would like to cancel their request here.
Please note that the DOE will never ask for any payment in response to this request.
Technical Support for Families
Families (or someone on their behalf) can submit requests for technical support for a broad range of issues, including application support, lost, stolen, or broken devices, and delivery status, though the Technical Support for Families page.
