Teach from Home

Welcome to Teach from Home!

Thanks to the tremendous work teachers have done to ensure student success in this new remote learning environment, NYC public school learning landscape is being completely transformed for the safety and continued learning of our 1.1 million students. Teach From Home: (requires sign in) a new section of the InfoHub that will have up to date information, including announcements and updates on professional learning opportunities

Teaching Resources for Staff

All members of our school communities are encouraged to regularly visit schools.nyc.gov/learnathome to access the most current learning resources and important information for engaging in remote instruction.

TeachHUB

The TeachHUB (requires sign in) contains links to applications and programs for a variety of online instructional resources, including Grade Band Instructional Resources in all subject areas.

Additionally, the DOE has compiled a range of professional learning sessions to learn different platforms and technologies to support remote learning. If you're interested in learning more about how you can utilize online tools to support remote learning, please view the DIIT Remote Learning Tech PD Calendar (requires sign in).

Activities for Students

We encourage you to use this time to continue your student’s learning while they are at home. To help students engage in educational material, the DOE has shared activity resources for students in all grades, from Early Learn through elementary and middle school, and for high school.

Unified Workspace

The DOE Unified Workspace is an online portal that contains links to frequently used DOE systems, applications, and websites, like Cybershift, HR Connect, and others. Users can access all of the DOE systems from one location, from a remote online device.

The Unified Workspace also gives you access to non-browser-based applications like ATS, STARS Client, and LCGMS. These particular apps are located in the Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), which is inside the Unified Workspace. The WVD is available to all administrative staff, principals, assistant principals, and staff who use STARS. For instructions on how to get to the WVD through the Unified Workspace, visit the InfoHub. You do not need VPN or special credentials to access the Unified Workspace. All you need is your existing DOE (@schools.nyc.gov) credentials.
