This section should not be necessary. We are nice to our friends. Always.
That is why we make this particularly clear: According to the Working Environment Act § 13, no employee should be subjected to harassment or other improper conduct. This means that every type of harassment or bullying at the workplace, both verbal and physical, is prohibited.
The prohibition also covers sexual harassment. Sexual harassment means unwelcome or inappropriate attention based on a person's gender. The harassment may consist of everything from unwelcome comments about an employee's body to pressure for sexual favors from a superior. Strawberry is responsible to ensure that these rules are respected. All managers are responsible for the work environment in their team. The manager must try to prevent conflicts from going too far and avoid them leading to a bad work environment and the bullying or harassment of individual employees. You, like all our other employees, have a duty to notify your manager as soon as you learn of any harassment or improper conduct. Such notification shall not be anonymous.
More information and guidance for follow-up can be found on the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority's website, or you can contact the People team at people@strawberry.no.
