Computer glasses is a general term for glasses specifically designed for computer or desk work. If you require such glasses, Strawberry will cover the cost of the eye exam, lenses, lens fitting, and up to NOK 1,000 for frames.
Generally, there are two categories of people who may need PC glasses:
Younger individuals who are mildly farsighted and/or have astigmatism but do not typically need glasses in daily life.
Employees over the age of 40 who cannot use their regular glasses for screen work.
Procedure
Employees should first contact their manager, who will conduct a workplace assessment to rule out other visual ergonomic issues. If, after a trial period with adjustments, the employee still experiences problems, they will be referred to an optician or eye doctor. Strawberry has a partnership with Synsam, which is the preferred provider.
How to Book (after speaking with your manager):
Go to Synsam’s website and book an eye exam: Book your eye test
Choose the following option: Eye test (synstest) – Computer Glasses & Safety Glasses (Databriller & Vernebriller).
Select a store and enter your personal details.
When proceeding, you’ll be directed to Company Information (bedriftsinformasjon) ➡️ Order Form (Bestillingsunderlag). Select Electronic Requisition (Elektronisk Rekvisisjon).
Enter the organization number for your hotel or main office.
Fill in your manager’s details and the billing contact person’s information: include the billing address.
Complete the booking by selecting “terminalbrille” and enter your working distance.
Your appointment is now reserved, and a request for approval will be sent to your manager.
Once your manager approves the requisition, a confirmation will be sent to you.
The electronic requisition will then be forwarded to the store, and everything will be ready for your eye exam.

Important: The agreement is tied to your hotel’s organization number. Therefore, enter your hotel’s organization number and name to activate the agreement. Invoices must be sent to the individual hotel.
Reimbursement of Costs
Employees at Strawberry will be reimbursed for costs according to the following guidelines. Costs must be submitted as an expense claim, not as an invoice:
Eye exam at the optician – even if it does not result in a prescription for PC glasses.
When ordering PC glasses: Lenses, anti-reflective coating, and assembly.
Documented expenses for simple frames (up to NOK 1,000).
Bifocal or progressive lenses are generally not recommended as PC glasses and will normally not be reimbursed by the company. The criteria for PC glasses follow medical guidelines recommended by the authorities, as per the Guide to: Regulation on Work at Display Screens § 11.
