The Wizard Walk

The annual ‘Wizard Walk’ at Halloween organised by the school parents association, is the main fund raising event for our school. It is a fantastic day when pupils and teachers dress up in their Halloween costumes and parade around the town. The streets are lined with parents, grandparents , guardians and well wishers and a carnival atmosphere is created. Colour is the order of the day and lots of noise ensues!! Then it’s back to school for a magic show and Halloween tricks and treats. This event is eagerly awaited every year.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Our school has a proud tradition of taking part in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade spanning many years. It’s one of the highlights of the school year and everybody gets involved. Every January school corridors are filled with tin whistle music and drum rolls. School has a buzz about it as the tunes are practised and the marching steps are rehearsed. Pupils are eager to get their band uniform and represent the school. In the latter years pupils not involved in the band have taken part in the pageant. Depending on the theme of the parade, props and signs are made and colourful costumes are created. Memories are made that will last a lifetime!
