3D PHONE

For the solid works project i decided to make a plastic iPhone with every detail as possible. Of course it work actually function like a real iPhone, but it'll look exactly like a real iPhone. To be specific it will be a iPhone 6 or 6+ (Either one, because they are exactly the same). Here is the youtube video i am watching to create my IPhone. I haven't decided what color to make it, but it'll either be gold, silver, or blue.

Now watching that video and a few on the web i decided to look on the web and copy one and paste it into solid-works. once i finished looking for a great apple phone for solid-works on the web i put it into my solid-works and started to copy little details so i can design my own phone. I'm calling it the tri phone because it has the apple brand and the android brand into the style of it so that makes 3 new brands, Apple, Android, and Tri, 1, 2, and 3. I have nearly finished to design my making the screen big and by adding the cameras and the logo on the back, which is just a circle in a hexagon. I could not find a triangle in solidworks so i just made that. below is my tri phone case.

Above here is the tri phone itself! down below is what i used to copy the designs and other advance models

The Iphone 6 is the one i was working with to make my phone. The picture of it is down below.

Finally i have finished printing and making my tri phone! next up i'm going to take it home and paint it so it looks more realistic. Before i do that though i have to cut out the little mistakes that the 3d printer did. down below is what i am going to paint it.

Wenesday 20

Last night i went home and painted my 3d phone blue and black, blue the outside and black the screen and camera's. phone shown down below.

This is David taking a fake selfie with my 3D phone.

How I Printed It

1. I made my project a STL

2. I imported it to a flash drive

3. i went on another computer by the 3d printer and brought up my project

4. i made it the right size to fit the 3d printing

5. i went into settings and adjusted my size so others could fit.

6. I printed it gray and then went home to paint it.

How I Created It

1. First i started with a rectangle and extrude cut that rectangle with a 0.10 inch screen in depth and 3.5 inches in height, and 1 inch in width.

2. Next i made the front camera, how i did that is simple, and made a circle and extrude cut it to .20 inches in depth than I made a smaller circle inside the first circle, and made that at the same height as the phone itself so it has a 3D pop.

3. After i made the front flash light with the width of 0.20 and the height of 0.15 and then the depth of .20

4. next i made the speaker in the top right corner of the front. I did not make measurements for the width or height i did random so it looks more like a speaker than just 3 lines. The depth though is 0.20 for each.

5. Next i made the back camera and the flash right in the middle. (all measurements are the same as the front camera).

6. I made my sound buttons and shut down button. The sound buttons are a radius of 0.10 and 3d height as 0.10 for each sound button. The shut down button is 0.20 in width, 0.10 in height, 0.10 in 3D height.

7. next i made the earbud input. I made that a radius of 0.10 and a depth of 0.20 and 0.10 (.20 is the first hole and 0.10 is the hole inside of the .20 hole).

8. Finally I made the charger input. I made the rectangle 0.25 in width, 0.10 in height, 0.30 in depth, and the little rectangles in the charger input is 0.5 in depth and width, and 0.10 in height.
