Rounds Expectations:
RA's will meet at A100 or designated location, Lakeside Lodge, AC, CGP Residential Life Office for each set of rounds.
Each RA will sign into the set of rounds using the Google Rounds Sign in Sheet.
Each RA will swipe their ID card on the Residential Life office front door to signify the beginning of each round.
Outdoor Rounds:
For Housing 1,4, 5 meet at Lakeside Lodge and Swipe your ID on the office door.
You may conduct your rounds with your rounds partner if you are outdoors together if that feels more comfortable for you, with the understanding that you and your rounds partner MUST both be wearing masks for the entirety of rounds and social distancing. It is not acceptable to perform rounds without masks and social distancing.
For Housing 5, You will conduct a round on each floor individually wearing your mask.
Indoor Rounds:
Meet with your rounds partner at your designated location social distance with a mask on and then conduct rounds on each floor individually.
For Housing 2 & 3 RA's meet at their designated location such as A100, G or K, L or P. Once you meet, you conduct your rounds on each floor individually.
AC RA will stop by AC Residential Life Office to Swipe Door and will conduct rounds.
If you feel uncomfortable doing rounds individually on each floor, you can discuss with your GHD. We are flexible. These changes were made due to Covid-19 for your safety as we continue to monitor the virus.

Special Note: Monday, September 5, 2022, Labor day Holiday Office is Closed (Phone must be picked up at 9:00 am-12midnight and no Office Hours on September 5, 2022)
December 9 — Friday-Fall term classes end
December 12-16 — Monday-Friday-Final week
Mandatory Closing Walkthroughs occur on December 17, 2022, at 12noon
A reminder of expectations that have NOT changed:
Every RA scheduled to be on duty is required to go on every set of rounds.
The round times are as follows (Different for 4/5):
Round 1: 9:30-10:40pm
Round 2: 11:30pm-12:40am
Round 3: 1:30am-2am
If you are unable to work your duty day, you must find coverage.
You must notify your GHD of any duty changes via email/Swap Form prior to the shift (recommended 24-48 hours). The sooner the better.
The duty calendar is shared campus-wide and must always be accurate
If you are on Duty, you must remain in your Housing Area until-8am the next morning and be accessible in case of emergency. Must sleep in your own room.
RAs On Duty in CGP are allowed to leave the premises for one hour for meals (brunch and dinner) on Saturdays and Sundays, but you must stay within the Main Campus, CG area.
Must visit all floors/buildings in your assigned area
Office Hours
RAs assigned for Office Hours 5 pm-9 pm must be present and on time in the office or designated area with the door open during their shift and duty phone turned on, answer and text or call grad on call.
Be professional and ready to assist.
It’s okay to do homework or watch TV, but RAs in office hours must be responsive to residents.
The RA Office phone must be answered. If you don’t know the answer to someone’s question, go find out the answer or forward them to call during business hours.
If you have class or a club meeting during your scheduled office hours, you must find office hour coverage.

Master Key Usage (Accessible through the lockbox in your designated Residential Life Office)
Master Keys should ONLY be utilized for job-related functions. Misuse of the Master key can result in termination.
Note lockouts via StarRez when completing them to support your use of the master keys.
Let the student know that their 1st lockout is free, but there is a monetary fee for every time after that (refreshes each semester)

Mailboxes must be checked and emptied, and hung up flyers in your area in a timely manner!
Duty Phone
The phone must be turned on, texted, or call the Grad On Call and must be answered during the following time frames: Please view the pro staff calendar to ensure you are contacting the correct Grad On-Call Duty Number:

*Please note that when the University is closed for a holiday that falls on a day during the week, RA must pick up the duty phone from 9:00 AM-12:00 AM.
The phone must travel with its charger at all times. It MUST be returned to there respective location (A100, Lakeside Lodge, CGP, and Atlantic City) and plugged in daily at 12 AM.
RAs must sign in and out of each round to confirm their presence via Google Form HERE. RAs may NOT leave campus or the area during their duty, whether they are holding the phone, or on back-up response for the phone.
If you have class, avoid those days while picking duty. If there is an issue, it is your responsibility to find coverage and inform your GHD in advance so they can make those changes on the duty calendar during RA Training.
