Delegates will step into President Lincoln’s cabinet shortly after the Battle of Antietam to debate whether it is the right moment to issue the Emancipation Proclamation. The discussion will balance moral urgency with political risks, considering military strategy, public opinion, and constitutional limits, while exploring ways to unite a divided nation.

Hey everyone! My name is Luiza Lemos, I’m 16 and a junior at EAC. I’m so excited to be chairing this special committee with Julia, because it's one of my favorites, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do! MUN is a great place to explore real world issues, expand your debating skills, and make friends, all while discussing interesting topics. Other than MUN, I also enjoy visual arts, reading, and playing video games. I can’t wait to see what you guys do with this topic, and if you ever have any questions, at any time, just reach out to Julia or I! @lubale1706@gmail.com
