Maths

We have been exploring multiplication and division in our most recent Maths unit. We have looked at arrays, part-part-whole models, dots and dishes and bar models throughout our topic. The children had to use the resources on their tables to show us what they have taken away from the topic so far. It was lovely to see the children thinking outside the box and using what they have learnt so far to demonstrate that knowledge. They loved using the different resources and got to be creative whilst thinking mathematically. 

The children have been exploring a range of 2 and 3-digit numbers using a set of cards 0-9. They were set challenges like 'can you make the largest even 3-digit number?' 'Make the smallest odd 3-digit number'. The children had to think carefully about which cards they could use and worked systematically to answer all the challenge questions. They loved working with their Kagan partners and were up for the challenge!
