We have now finished our topic on Special People. Today we looked back over our lessons and planned a Collective Worship together.
We have finished our Advent topic this term by making Christingles. The children learnt that the orange represents the world, the red ribbon represents love and the sticks and sweets represents the 4 seasons. Can the children remember what the white candle represents?
This term in RE we are exploring and learning about Families. We are looking at how we belong in a family, in groups or clubs, in a school environment and in church.
We have been looking at Baptism this week in RE and what it means to belong. We have described key words and phrases of what the priest says when the Baptism is taking place. Here is some of our work. We even set the classroom up as a church and role played a Baptism.
If you have got any family photos which you would like to share and bring into class over the next couple of weeks, please send them in. It is great to see who is in everyone's family. These will be returned at the end of the topic. :)
