Each student in our school has been given a Student Account with Hallow. In the older grades, teachers may assign prayer activities for their students to complete using their school devices. In grades K-3rd, I am not asking students to log-on to Hallow during the school day. Instead, I will be using the platform to assign various prayer activities or challenges for them to complete alongside you at home. Some examples: Listen to “Intro to Hallow: sessions 1 & 2” for an introduction to prayer and the app; Listen to a Scripture story of your choice from “The Story of All Stories”; Listen to a story about a saint of your choice.
I will also be using Hallow at various times during class, too, accessed through my own school account, in ways that support what we are learning about and how we want to grow in our relationships with God through prayer.
I will be sending home Prayer Logs where students can keep track of the prayers they pray and the challenges they complete. Stay tuned for details!
I’m praying that Hallow is a blessing for you, your child, and your whole family, as you continue to grow in your faith as a domestic church!
How to Login:
Go to hallow.com
Click on “Continue with Student Login”
Click on “Continue with email or username” (do not use phone, Google, or Apple)
Type in your child’s school email/username
Type in your password: hallowed
You can download the app on your devices and log-in the same way.
*Note: If your family already has an account, I was told that there was a way to merge your student’s account as a “Kid’s Profile” on your family account. If you cannot figure that out, I can look further into it and we can learn about these things together. :)
Intro Prayer Challenge: (for the week of September 28 - October 2)
On your Student Profile (whether on the web browser or app), find the class or school group section. This should allow you to view your first “assignment” or Prayer Challenge: what to listen to and pray.
Kinder and 1st grade:
There are two short sessions within “Intro: Littles”.
1) “Introduction for Parents” (for parents to listen to first)
2) “Creating Silence” (for parents and children to listen to together).
2nd and 3rd grade: There is one longer session:
There is one session within “Intro: Middles.”
It is also called “Creating Silence”, but is longer than the one for “Littles”.
Parents and children, listen together.
After listening to your assigned Prayer Challenge, discuss what you heard and what you learned. What was your experience of prayer like?
