Marshmallow Challenge

For the Marshmallow Challenge my team had to use 20 pieces of spaghetti, a yard of tape, a yard of string, and one marshmallow. My team was Evan, Abigail, Gabriel and me. We had 18 minutes to do this challenge. We were supposed to use the spaghetti to make a tower as tall as we could. We used the tape to make the spaghetti stand and when we were almost out of tape, we used the string. We did not draw out a plan, We just tried things as we went along. We used the tape to put 4 or 5 pieces of spaghetti together to make the spaghetti longer. It was so hard because the spaghetti was so delicate. Then we put the pieces of pasta on the table and started taping the pasta together. The tower of pasta started to fall. So then we used the string to keep it from falling. It sort of worked but it started to tip over. If we had a little more time we would have tried to make it taller. I think we worked well as a group. We all had separate parts that all mattered to the tower. If we had another chance we would have made a stronger and bigger structure. It was a really fun experience because I was working with my friends. I think we did this assignment because it was helping use with being creative with interesting items. I think this assignment helped me with other classes because if there was an activity with interesting items I would know what to do. After a couple of minutes left we put the marshmallow on top and we were the first to finish. I think we did this assignment because we were working as a group.
