For the Digital Citizenship assignment I created a poster. I saw three videos and I had to write about all of them. The first one is Personal Information. Personal Information is things that people cannot see. Some of the personal information that you should lock up is your email, phone number, your birthday, and your name. If you don't keep these things locked up someone can take these important items. They can pretend to be you and post stuff that people should not see. You should not share these things with other people except for your parents and someone that you trust.
The second one is Understanding Online " Friends". If you are on online and you are playing a game with you friends and you see a friend request and you don't know this person. Do you accept or decline? You don't know this person and they may make up their location, their name, and how old they are. It may be someone who is pretending to be a friend and then they might get your personal information and rob you. So when you are playing a game online and you don't recognize the person do not accept.
The third one is Cyberbulling. If you are playing in recess and a bully comes over and says something to you and it will hurt you're feelings and you go to the teacher or and adult. Then the bully will be in time out and be punished. When you go home and you go on the Internet and the bully is bulling online and saying mean things about you. What do you do? You save what the bully said to you show an adult. Then your parents will call the teacher and they will call the bullies parents and the bully will be expelled from school. What I thought about this assignment was very informational. It helped me understand about personal information, understanding online friends, and cyberbulling.
To make the poster we used Google Drawings. I used the shape of a square to write my information about safety. To get pictures there is a little mountain. If you click that little mountain there will be this big square with words on it. One of the words are search. You click search and type in safety, and pictures of locks will show up. The video that I chose to make my poster about was called Personal Information. My poster includes a big red lock on it. It also has another lock , but it's white and has the word SECURITY. My poster says not to share personal information. It also says to keep your personal information locked up. I thought that this assignment was very helpful because it taught me about cyberbulling and online safety. One thing I thought that was most important was safety. Safety is important to me because it helps me know what I should share and who I should share it with.
