Rules and Expectations
Pre-K Students for 2025-2026 school year
Social and emotional learning is a cornerstone in preschool. As students develop they will begin to learn about self-awareness, self-control, problem-solving peacefully, autonomy, and social competence. Daily praise and encouragement are given for expectations that are met! St. Martha Catholic School believes that students who feel comfortable and have a positive relationship with their teachers and school will achieve their goals. Visits to the treasure box, praise, coins, etc… will be given/awarded to students who earn “coins.” Students who need redirection will be asked to go to their chairs for reflection time and then they will receive caring support and brainstorming sessions and/or role-playing activities to help them to discover different ways to handle difficult situations. Students can earn coins throughout the day. We will also be using whole class rewards for incentives.
Positive Coins/Class Stars
We will focus on positive behavior. Students will receive coins to put in their positive pockets. Once they have received 5 coins they will be able to visit treasure box.
We will also have class rewards. When the whole class is doing great they will earn a star. These can be taken away when students are not following expectations. They will receive a class popcorn party, ice cream, extra recess, centers, etc.
*Behavior report will only be communicated when the teacher feels it is necessary.
