EOTS has partnered with five departments across the school. If you would like to collaborate with us, please fill out the Video Request Form on our 'Contact' page.

Grade 5

Admissions: Welcoming Newly Admitted Students

This year, EOTS members collaborated with the Admissions Department to welcome newly admitted students to the Hilltop. In this series of videos, current students and faculty share the classes, events, and traditions they look forward to sharing as a community next year.

Please note: all EOTS content is produced in accordance with the SLSReady plan for COVID-19 regarding masking, social distancing, and sanitation.

Upper School

Admissions: Virtual Tour

Given the health and safety precautions required for the fall of 2020, the Admissions Department is unable to welcome visitors to the Hilltop as normal. Seeking to share SLS's beauty and energy with prospective families at home, Eye of the Storm producers Brian Douglas '21 and Elyse Kim '21 collaborated with the Admissions Department to create a Virtual Campus Tour.

Admissions: Open Houses

Middle School Open House — 10.20.2019

Upper School Open House —10.27.2019

Each fall, Admissions Open Houses provide a glimpse into life on the Hilltop. In these unreleased videos, SLS faculty describe their favorite things about the event, and student ambassadors recall their own Open House experiences. Whether you are applying or already part of the St. Luke's community, EOTS hopes these videos remind you of the energy and enthusiasm which make St. Luke's such a special place.

Many thanks to the Ambassadors, faculty, and administrators who helped with the Open Houses and appeared in our videos!

Digital Music Production

In Mr. Valera's Digital Music Production class, St. Luke's students learn to create their own loops and beats in GarageBand. Students have even made music exclusively for Eye of the Storm, and we have featured their creations in our episodes and podcasts.

EOTS would like to thank Mr. Valera and his Digital Music Production students for sharing their tunes with us!

Honor Council: 2020 Elections

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Honor Council campaign process was moved online. Candidates answered a "Question of the Week" to share their philosophies and ideas with their classmates. Voting then took place during class meetings.

Week #1 Question: What's one specific thing you would like to do to further promote the Honor Code in our community?

Honor Council: Living by the SLS Honor Code

In the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, all students responded to the question, "How will you live by the Honor Code this year?" In partnership with the Honor Council, EOTS created this video to remind students of their responses. Students could watch the video on the TV monitors in hallways throughout the school.

Alumni

During the 2018-2019 school year, EOTS created our "Back Home on the Hilltop" series to profile alumni who have returned to teach at St. Luke's.

As a student at St. Luke's, Seeley Fancher '14 wore many hats: varsity athlete, Cum Laude Society inductee, and daughter of a faculty member. But after returning to the Hilltop, she has a new title: Science Teaching Fellow. In episode #8, Ms. Fancher describes why she came back to St. Luke's and how being an alumna gives her a unique perspective on teaching.

He's a St. Luke's alumnus, parent, teacher, and our storyteller extraordinaire. As a farewell and thank-you to Mr. Henson, episode #10 details his time at SLS, including his most beloved memories and the lessons he's learned on the Hilltop.

World Language

In April 2019, EOTS partnered with the SLS World Language Department to create a game show-style video about the WL Week Piñata Contest.

We don't know much about arts & crafts, but one thing is for sure: when piñatas are concerned, all bets are off. Who will design the best piñata? Will it be Team Tasia, Team Bapayapaya, or Team McGriddlers? Tune in to find out!
