Admissions Partnership: Virtual Campus Tour

Given the health and safety precautions required for the fall of 2020, the Admissions Department is unable to welcome visitors to the Hilltop as normal. Seeking to share SLS's beauty and energy with prospective families at home, Eye of the Storm producers Brian Douglas '21 and Elyse Kim '21 collaborated with the Admissions Department to create a Virtual Campus Tour. 

"Quarantime!": The Highlight of the Day

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Eye of the Storm transitioned to distance learning along with the rest of SLS. "Quarantime!" is a miniseries that comments (lightheartedly) on some of the changes wrought by the novel coronavirus. The episodes harness the power of asynchronous collaboration to complete the production process; students film using equipment at their disposal, share content through cloud storage for editing, and utilize email, Zoom chat, and the occasional video conference to critique and polish.

Honor Council Partnership: 2020 Elections

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Honor Council campaign process was moved online. Candidates answered a "Question of the Week" to share their philosophies and ideas with their classmates. Voting took place during class meetings.

National Athletic Training Month: Thank You, Ms. Nicole!

March is National Athletic Training Month, so EOTS has produced a video featuring our incredible athletic trainer. Ms. Nicole is on the sidelines of every game, ready to help at the first sign of injury. She works with Storm athletes every day, guiding them through rehab and physical therapy to keep them healthy and help them return to peak performance. Beyond her medical expertise, Ms Nicole is a kind and supportive presence on the Hilltop who embodies our school's dedication to service.

Honor Council Partnership: Living by the SLS Honor Code

In the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, all students responded to the question, "How will you live by the Honor Code this year?"
