1st and 2nd Class Kindness Activity Menu
*Please try to do this meditation at the start of the day if possible to set a kind, positive and calming atmosphere. We recommend breathing in and out slowly 3 times prior to your activity*.
Here are a few suggestions, please try to do 1 or 2:
Mindful colouring- lots of sheets on Twinkl.
Kindness Confetti – all children draw a happy/positive picture note on a post-it, go outside, throw it in the air and children pick up a different note and enjoy.
Kind messages/quotes/images written in chalk in yards.
Kindness Rainbow Sheet – be the Rainbow Challenge. Keep track of the kind things you do in the week. Write each kind thing you do on each line of the rainbow. See rainbow templates here- ready to print https://www.bigactivities.com/coloring/nature/rainbows/rainbow_clouds_sun.php
Self-kindness- write a kind note to themselves to read anytime they feel down or sad.
Kindness mailbox – pupils write a general kind note- kind notes are then put in the box for pupils to pick out and read after homework is taken down.
Kindness Bucket – similar to mailbox where they pick out a kind message that is written on a post-it.
Read a book with Kindness as a theme.
