In serving the whole student, we support students in their individual goals, assist them in the development of self-advocacy skills, and foster students’ identity development. Our goal is to empower students with disabilities in their educational journey at St. Catherine University and
beyond.
St. Kate’s values diversity of all kinds and considers disability another aspect of diversity. It’s our goal to address barriers to full participation in the academic and co-curricular experience—online and on campus.
Student Accessibility and Accommodations supports students with disabilities, as defined under the ADA, with reasonable accommodations or resources for academics, clinical/fieldwork, campus, housing and dining. To discuss accommodations or accessibility at St. Kate's, please contact our office.
Our staff have experience working with individuals impacted by many conditions, such as learning disabilities, physical disabilities, chronic and temporary medical conditions, ADD/ADHD, traumatic brain injury, psychiatric conditions, Autism spectrum disorders, hearing loss/Deafness and vision-based disabilities, etc.
