Students are working on understanding the many forms technology can take, including computers, robots, tablets. Students will be completing activities in the Seesaw app to learn to use their iPads as tools. In Seesaw, students are getting the hang of using the many features and tools available to them. Students are learning about pre-coding skills, such as sequencing. You will see assignments in Seesaw where we are practicing these important problem solving skills.
Students will work on lessons through December using pre-coding skills. We will work in Seesaw and in various coding apps on our iPads. Some of the apps we will use include Seesaw, Kodable, Coding Safari and Code Monkey Jr.
Students are using Google Classroom as our homebase for all class activities, and are working to build familiarity with the keyboard and mouse. Students will be working with the Jungle Junior program through the Typing Club website to work on beginning keyboarding skills. Students will complete assignments in Google Slides using various features to create monsters, turkeys, gingerbread houses, and snow globes in the coming months.
