Pre-K - 2nd Grade Music

Students are working on developing singing skills in several ways.  Class begins with a welcome song, then students learn songs by rote, and also practice solfege pitch to go along with the songs.  Students explore movement with music through various singing games.  Music time ends with a song tale (a picture book that is an illustrated song) and the singing our goodbye song.  

Students have been learning about proper instrument use and performing on instruments to music in class.  They are keeping steady beat, dancing, and playing simple rhythms together. Students are practicing a Christmas song to share at our school's Nativity production in December. Feel free to find the appropriate grade level's song and lyrics in the presentation below and have your student sing along for extra practice!
