3rd Grade

Students are building skills to read music as we work toward our goal of receiving recorders after Christmas. Students will reinforce music reading skills throughout December. Students are practicing a Christmas song to share at our school's Nativity production in December. 4th Grade

Fourth graders will be creating their own versions of a popular Christmas song in December. We will work on identifying beat and song structure so that individual version fit the music of the original. Students are also practicing a Christmas song to share at our school's Nativity production in December. 5th Grade

Fifth grade students will be working on describing musical elements heard in various Christmas songs in December. We are fine tuning our ear to identify tempo, dynamics, and instruments in musical selections. Students are also practicing a Christmas song to share at our school's Nativity production in December.
