The Chorus and School offer additional music classes where children learn to read, write, and sing music. They also offer classes in music theory and history and vocal training.

The BYSO consists of three different ensembles based on age group and skills level. Each ensemble holds weekly rehearsals and individuals must take private lessons during the season. There is a annual tuition fee, but scholarships and financial aid are available.

The Peabody Children's Chorus provides age-appropriate vocal training for girls and boys with unchanged voices. The Chorus brings children together to rehearse and perform art and folk music of multiple cultures, languages, historical periods, and styles.
Nearly 400 children, ages 6-18, participate each year in three levels of training.
In recent years, the Peabody Children’s Chorus has performed with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Concert Artists of Baltimore, Lyric Opera Baltimore, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, the Morgan State University Choir, Peabody Conservatory’s Opera Theater, the Peabody Concert Orchestra, and the Peabody Symphony Orchestra. In addition, the Peabody Children's Chorus has traveled and performed throughout the U.S. and Europe.
