What standard are we held to in Scotland?
Safeguarding isn't just internal church policy—it aligns with Scottish law and national best practice. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child): Scotland’s national framework ensuring all children grow up safe, healthy, and supported. We actively use the SHANARRI wellbeing indicators (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible, Included) across our family activities.
National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland: We operate under the updated Scottish Government guidelines, maintaining strict multi-agency communication, safer recruitment, and reporting procedures.

Biblical & Pastoral Care: We believe every child is valued and loved by God. Creating a secure environment honors their dignity and allows faith, character, and community to flourish without fear.
Faith-Based Safety Standards: Through our connection with Thirtyone:eight and Vineyard Churches UK, we maintain robust child protection policies, mandatory staff/volunteer vetting (PVG Scheme in Scotland), and ongoing safeguarding training.
Partnering with Families: We don't replace parents—we exist to equip them. By bridging national guidelines with practical resources, we help families build safe boundaries at church, at home, and online.
