Hello, I am Ydalia Yado! I teach Religion to 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students at St. Ignatius Catholic School. I am originally from Dinuba, California, but grew up in Caldwell, Idaho. I am happily married. I have three sons Daniel, Victorio, and Raul. I love swimming, paddle boarding, biking, rollerblading, and playing sports. I also enjoy reading, writing, and playing board games.
I graduated from Caldwell High School in 2006. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies with Departmental Honors, a minor in Latin American Studies, and a specialization in Diversity, Citizenship, Social Justice, and Leadership from Seattle University in 2010.
Right after graduating from Seattle University, I began my teaching career as a 5th Grade Math teacher at David Ybarra Middle School in the Edcouch-Elsa ISD in Texas. I later taught Middle and High School English Language Arts while simultaneously serving as the Caldwell School District Migrant Graduate Specialist. In 2015, I went back to school to earn my Master in Public Administration from Boise State University. I graduated in 2017. Before coming to St. Ignatius, I served as the Instructional Coach at Caldwell High School. This is my 8th year teaching at St. Ignatius and my 15th year as a teacher.
I am privileged to be part of the staff at St. Ignatius Catholic School where I have the opportunity to live out my vocation guiding students towards Jesus Christ and reminding them that God is LOVE. My greatest desire is that all students build a strong and meaningful relationship with God and that they feel God's presence within them. I hope they see God everywhere they go and in everyone they meet. My goal is to serve them as a teacher and spiritual guide. I aspire to be a Saint and do my best to follow in the footsteps of Mystic Saints, in particular, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and Saint John of the Cross. Their lives inspire me to be a better disciple of Christ and to work towards justice. They took part in the counter-reformation and helped revitalize the church. I hope that my students and I can also set the world on fire!
“Mystical experience is being touched by God at a level deeper than words, thought, imagination and feeling.”
