After attending the University of Idaho (GO VANDALS!) and receiving BA in English, I decided to pursue a career in education. It was something I had been considering, but to declare a new major and seek my teaching credentials would set me back a few too many semesters. Therefore, I enrolled at Boise State University (wearing black and gold to class each and every day) in the graduate program for English Education. There, I was able to earn a MA in English and work towards my certificate simultaneously.
My teaching career started at Mountain View High School in 2006, and eventually, because of my own experience as child attending Catholic school and being the parent of a child attending a Catholic school, I made the decision to apply to St. Ignatius and continue my career where I can openly put my faith into my teaching!
Being part of the inaugural faculty at St. Ignatius Catholic School has been the highlight of my 12 year career. It is a privilege to work with our dedicated faculty, our committed parents and community, and to guide my students both academically and spiritually into well rounded Christians prepared for high school and excited about giving back to their community.
