This packet has been given to each incoming 6th grade students.  If the students lose their packet, this can be reprinted.  A completed packet will be due when students return summer.  Students can complete this packet throughout the summer on their own timetable.  

The benefits of this summer program packet are the following:

• "Research is clear: Summer learning loss is a significant problem, playing a surprisingly large role in creating the achievement gap."

• Reinforcing math concepts that were previously taught

•   The students  are able to keep their skills sharp through the summer and come back to school feeling more confident and less rusty.
