Students are learning subject pronouns in Spanish. They will be able to replace subject nouns in Spanish with the correct one (Ex. Mario y yo --> nosotros) They will play jeopordy at the end of the week to review what they have learned.
14 de septiembre - 18 de septiembre:
This is the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month!
Students are continuing to practice asking and saying their favorite colors in Spanish. This week, they will learn Spanish subject pronouns and what it means to conjugate a verb.
8 de septiembre - 11 de septiembre:
Students are finishing up dialogues with saludos y despedidas before presenting their conversations in front of the class next week. They are learning to express colors they like and do not like with "me gusta" and "no me gusta."
31 de agosto - 4 de septiembre:
Students are learning greetings and farewells in Spanish. They will practice these terms and use them in conversations with classmates.
24 de agosto - 28 de agosto:
Students are learning numbers 1-100 and the days of the week in Spanish.
17 de agosto - 21 de agosto:
Bienvenidos a la clase de español! This week students will learn the importance of learning languages, including what it means to be monolingual, bilingual, trilingual, quadrillingual, and multilingual. They will play games to understand cognates.
