12 de octubre - 16 de octubre:
Students are continuing to learn how to use ser with origin and nationalities. They will take turns describing different people's nationalities in Spanish and play jeapardy at the end of the week to solidify their understanding of the content.
5 de octubre - 9 de octubre:
Students will play games to practice asking and answering questions about which Spanish-speaking countries people are from. They will be learning how to express nationalities using "ser." (Soy estadounidense; Somos chilenos; Son bolivianas.) This will include their understanding of nationality/adjective agreement.
28 de septiembre - 2 de octubre:
Students are beginning to learn the conjugations of ser and where they belong in the chart. They will learn to describe where different groups of people are from and ask questions about where people are from.
21 de septiembre - 24 de septiembre:
Students are finishing up their understanding of subject pronouns this week. They will solidify their understanding through targeted review, corrections, additional practice, and engaging review games based on their quiz results. This additional practice will help ensure students are confident with subject pronouns before moving on to subject pronoun charts and the verb ser.
14 de septiembre - 18 de septiembre
This is the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month!
Students are learning when to use each Spanish subject pronoun through Corre en Círculos and other games and activities in class. They will also learn the basics of noun gender and number to help them identify which subject pronoun corresponds to different people and groups.
8 de septiembre - 11 de septiembre
Students are beginning a new unit on how to describe people's nationalities, physical characteristics, and personality traits. To begin, they will learn Spanish subject pronouns and how to use the subject pronoun chart. They will also learn basic nouns for people, such as el chico and la chica.
31 de agosto - 4 de septiembre
Students are learning about the reflexive verb llamarse and how to express other people's names in Spanish, at times including themselves in the group as well (nos llamamos). They are also learning to count from 1-110 in Spanish.
24 de agosto - 28 de agosto
Students are practicing having conversations in Spanish with classmates using "saludos y despedidas" vocabulary.
