1. Experiencing 21st Century English Writing with e-Learning Tools
* co-organized by the Standing Committee on Langauge Education and Research (SCOLAR) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
In the 6-hour student workshops, F.2 students gained an opportunity to enhance their writing competence through self-regulated writing strategies and e-learning resources/tools. They were also nominated to join an essay writing competition to showcase what they learnt. Though the workshops had to be carried out on Zoom due to COVID, students were all highly engaged. Their thoughtful responses and wonderful learning attitude were highly commended by the tutors.
In the teacher professional development workshops, our English teachers visited the Centre for Language Education and Multiliteracies Research (CLEMR) of the Faculty of Education of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to explore innovative ways of enhancing our students’ writing competence through self-regulation, 21st century skills and e-Learning resources/tools.

3. Kowloon City Adventure
The life-wide learning project is a collaboration of the Geography Department, the English Department, and Mr. Ralph Wong, the EDB Language Learning Support Section (LLSS) officer.
In the project, F.4 students went on a virtual or in-person cultural tour to places like:
Kowloon Walled City
Hau Wong Temple
Stone Houses Family Garden
Tai Wo Tang Café, Kai Tak Road
Sa Po Road
With the information collected, students performed different authentic tasks including an Instagram post, a feature article, a survey report, and a letter to the editor to showcase their experiences.
The Kowloon City Adventure provides F. 4 students with first-hand experience of collating information from different authentic sources. It also gets them familiarized with the cultural and historical backgrounds and future plans of their neighbourhood.
