Design each task in a problem-solving effort so that it is most fruitful and provides the most information or guidance.
Gather data from players on the field and see what we can detect/predict with our sensor suites
Determine specifics of sensor suite such as location on body, number and types of sensors, power sources, and communication technology
Determine which customers will receive what data, and how it will be presented to that customer to match their specific needs
Create a system for analyzing data collected, drawing conclusions and predictions from it
Create a system for displaying the conclusions and predictions to customers specific to their needs, different layouts and information for a coach vs a player or a fan.
Use various attributes of the final solution state to guide earlier decisions made along the solution path.
Having the data to be displayed in a mobile app, website, or watch
Displaying impact level, injury likelihood, and other data to serve for our final state
Quick response times to injuries (instant updates for coaches, fans. and parents)
Define design goals and design specifications.
Shall have specialized data analysis for each type of customer
Shall have a high accuracy when making conclusions, predictions, or suggestions to the customer
Shall have low latency so coaches, referees, players, and fans are up to date with current game events
Shall have a minimum delay when transmitting data to referees in real-time
Eliminate paths that do not satisfy the desired design goals and/or specifications.
We have eliminated the path of creating a tool for 3rd party trainers to use to help their players because it is outside of our scope.
