8.1. Ethical issues: identify any potential hazards in the proposed design, e.g., foreseeable misuses
Data Security: Athletes can be concerned about their personal data, such as heart rate, location, or sleep patterns, being potentially shared with other teams or people.
Overreliance on Technology: Athletes and coaches should not overly rely on technology, potentially neglecting other important aspects of training and performance like proper technique and human intuition.
Inaccurate Data: The accuracy of some sensors and devices can vary, leading to erroneous readings and potentially incorrect conclusions being drawn.
9.1. Ethical issues: provide solutions to eliminate hazards identified in Assignment 8.1, e.g., foreseeable misuses
Data Security: The data collected by the device must be stored and transmitted securely to prevent unauthorized access or breaches. Vulnerabilities in the device or the application can lead to data leaks.
Overreliance on Technology: Tell the athletes what they can work on to improve their skills but do not over-explain the data analytics. Certain athletes will also not always believe the data analytics so it is important for the coach to make sure the data matches what they are seeing to give a proper evaluation
Inaccurate Data: Rely on the improvement of the data collection over time and do not over rely on technology.
