For proper printing, the software needs to have the right profile loaded telling it what paper type and printer it is printing to. All the paper provided in the VPL already has profiles installed on the computers in the VPL, but if a new paper type is brought in from elsewhere, a new profile matching that paper to the desired printer. This guide will explain how to find and install the correct paper profile.

Find and Download the Proper ICC (International Color Consortium) Profile

Install The Profile:
Windows: Right-click the ICC profile file and select "Install Profile." Alternatively, copy the profile to the "C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color" folder.
macOS: Copy the ICC profile to the "/Library/ColorSync/Profiles" folder or the "/Users/[username]/Library/ColorSync/Profiles" folder.
Print:
In the desired program the printing will be done from the new profile should appear in the dropdown options for printing profiles.
