Code of Conduct

Munday Library is committed to providing a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere to encourage education, networking, and community-building. All event participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy, and respect for others. All attendees, brewers, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, students, and staff agree to acknowledge and abide by the Code of Conduct when they enter the event.

We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or violence in any form. If any participant engages in any demeaning, abusive, coercive, discriminatory, or harassing behavior, that individual will face appropriate consequences. Those consequences could include a warning, being asked to leave the event, being prohibited from attending future events, and/or being referred to authorities.

Expected Behavior:

• All event participants are treated with kindness and respect.

• All communication is appropriate and inclusive for all audiences. 

• Differing opinions are met with respect for individuals.

• Any signs of intoxication or harassment will be reported to a staff member.

Unacceptable Behavior:

• Threats or acts of violence.

• Disruption of speakers, musicians, or any event proceedings.

• Damaging university property.

• Derogatory or unwelcome comments regarding race, religion, gender, sexuality, national origin, disability, physical appearance, or lifestyle choices.

• Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

• Intimidation or stalking.

Event participants who are asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Reporting a Violation of the Code of Conduct:

If you witness a violation of this code please report the concern to the nearest staff member (indicated by the “Staff” badge and/or those working the front desk).

Munday Library takes your privacy and safety seriously. If you submit an inquiry detailing a possible violation of the Code of Conduct the report will be reviewed and handled as confidentially as the circumstances allow.
