SCPA Bands
The St. Croix Preparatory Academy Bands have a tradition of excellence in Stillwater, MN. St. Croix Prep was founded in 2004. Beginning Band was first held in 2007, and there are now six curricular ensembles (five concert bands and one jazz band) as well as an extracurricular jazz band and pep band.
Recent honors for the St. Croix Prep Bands include a performance by the 7/8 Symphonic Band at the 2015 MMEA Midwinter Clinic, first place at the 2016 Eau Claire Jazz Festival, and second place at the 2018 and 2019 Eau Claire Jazz Festivals. The Jazz Combo also placed first at the 2019 Eau Claire Jazz Festival. Check out the video to the side for some highlights from the Jazz Band this spring.
The upper school band traveled to Kansas City, MO, in spring 2019 and to Chicago in spring 2022. The Wind Ensemble frequently earns Superior ratings at the MSHSL Large Group Contest, performing works like Robert Russell Bennett's Suite of Old American Dances and Jan Van der Roost's Rikudim.
