Distribution Lists

Distribution Lists in PMWeb allow you to create custom user groupings for in-system Notifications from project records in the System.  Create Distribution Lists for teams which you'll need to message routinely, so that you can select a single Distribution List, rather than selecting each individual user, when sending Notifications.  

Creating a New Distribution list

3. In your Distribution List Manager view, click the + icon to create a new Distribution List.  

4. Populate your Distribution List Details with the provided fields.  

5. Click Save to save your updates.  


6. Click and Drag any user name row from the left table, to the table on the right.  

7. Click Save to save your Distribution List updates.  

You've now created a Custom Distribution List!  You can come back to this view to customize this list at any time.  

Using Distribution Lists

You'll use your custom Distribution Lists when sending Notifications from a record in PMWeb.  Here, we'll review this process in an active Actions record.  This functionality is the same in all records with a Notification tab.

In an Active PMWeb record with a Notifications tab:

3. In the To, CC, or BCC fields, click the Ellipse icon (three dots). 

4. In the pop-up window, click the Distribution Lists tab.  

5. Find and select your Distribution list to highlight it.  

6. Click and Drag the distribution list to the right-facing table.  

7. Click Save and Close to close the window.  

8. Your Distribution List users now appear in your selected To, CC, or BCC field. 

9. Click Send to send your notification. 

You've now used your custom Distribution List in PMWeb!
