Coaching Implementation Guide

The Purpose of the Guide

This guide helps new coaches understand their role and supports experienced coaches further their work. It is a collaboration between the Colorado Department of Early Childhood Regional Coach Network (RCN) and the Coaching Implementation Guide Work Group, made up of coaches and those who support coaches, from around the state. This guide will also support future coaching implementation in Colorado, providing a framework for how early childhood coaching can look.

Intended Audience

This guide is intended for new and experienced early childhood coaches and aims to provide support for ECCs, LCOs, and organizations that provide coaching for the early childhood workforce. 

It also provides useful information for anyone who works with coaches. This includes coach partners, administrators, directors, teachers, professional trainers, other technical assistance providers, including mentors and consultants, and other key partners in the early childhood community.
