Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Teams bring together first responders, transportation agencies, towing operators, and other stakeholders to improve coordination and communication during roadway incidents. By working together, TIM Teams help ensure quicker clearance, enhanced responders safety, and reduced congestion across Colorado's highways.
TIM Teams are regional groups of emergency responders and transportation professionals who meet regularly to:
✔️Share best practices for safer and more efficient incident response
✔️Improve interagency communication between law enforcement, fire, EMS, towing, and CDOT
✔️Review recent incidents to identify lessons learned and areas for improvements
✔️Coordinate TIM training sessions to ensure all responders follow consistent protocols
✔️Support public safety campaigns to educate drivers on Move Over laws and safe driving near incident scenes
