Drop off will occur from 7:40-7:50 at the pink dot. Please pull into DRIVEWAY A, Fricano Entrance (no earlier than 7:35) and pull around to the A WING Doors. If you are here prior to 7:35 please pull into the Fricano gated lot and wait. This is absolutely essential due to MIDDLE SCHOOL DROP OFF.
We are asking that parents do not pull into the parking lot near the RIS playground as it causes too much congestion.
Do not drop off earlier than 7:40am.
Map is to the left.
You will exit out B Driveway. Thank you!
Parents - if your 4th and 5th grade student is interested in Intramurals throughout the school year (basketball, soccer, four square, and volleyball), please fill out the Google Form below as it serves as a permission form as well as allows our transportation office to be prepared to pick up all students that need transportation. THANK YOU!!!
Intramurals are for 4th & 5th grade boys/girls and runs from 7:45 - 8:45 AM on different days throughout the week. Intramural schedules are announced throughout the year as the new sports begin in class and on the morning announcements. The schedule and number of days for each intramural session depends on the number of students who are interested in participating. Students will be provided with a schedule after we determine teams. (which again are based on the number of students participating). Please read the letter below for more information.
*We prefer students to get dropped off by a parent however, if a child needs to ride the early bus they must note that when filling out the RIS INTRAMURAL PERMISSION FORM. The school MAY or MAY NOT be able to accommodate depending on the number of students riding the bus. Students participating in intramurals can get dropped off NO EARLIER than 7:40am, behind the school). Upon arriving to school, Mrs. Reed or Mr. Cuviello will meet students at the doors at 7:40am to let them in the building, and sign in all students that will be participating for the day.
Tentative Intramural Schedule: (see below)
October-November: Soccer Intramurals
November-January: Basketball Intramurals
January-March: Handball Intramurals/Four Square Intramurals/Gaga Ball Intramurals
March-June: Volleyball Intramurals
*The Physical Education department and the Music Department work closely together in order to maximize student participation. If your child is in band or chorus and also wants to participate in intramurals, please understand that our departments have worked together in order to allow students to participate in both, even if games are scheduled on band or chorus days. In fact, a majority of our students participate in all three of these extra opportunities!
**A reminder to students: Mrs. Reed and Mr. Cuviello hold student SAFETY number one at all times in our gyms. We follow up number two with SPORTSMANSHIP. At no point in time will a team score, or game situation, ever take precedence over our priorities. Intramurals are an extra opportunity for you to play. By participating in our program, we expect you to adhere to these expectations. If not, and if certain negative actions deem appropriate, immediate dismissal from intramurals will follow.
