Science Research Intensive (SRI)
Open for students entering grades 9 and 10
Only for students who are serious about continuing down a path of science research.
Led by Cynthia Converso, PhD, the Summer Research Intensive (SRI) is an elite six-week camp at St. Anthony’s that introduces students to the frontier of molecular research. Students join one of four advanced laboratories—Epigenetics, Pharmacology, Bioprocessing, or Microbial Adaptation—to pursue original, open-ended questions that go far beyond the standard curriculum. Using sophisticated tools like CRISPR and professional biostatistics, participants master the "bench discipline" required for high-level scholarship. By focusing on novel experimental design and high-fidelity data collection, the SRI provides students with the unique opportunity to generate original research results suitable for science competitions and submission to peer-reviewed journals. For any questions, please contact Mrs. Converso at cconverso@stanthonyshs.org.
*Students will receive an email the weekend prior to the start of the camp with directions for arrival to school.
