Vivi Green is a high school student (grade 11) from Georgia. Her special interest is corvids, and she hopes to one day get a wildlife rehabilitation license to help “weird” animals like possums and crows. Being neurodiverse herself, she has a passion for learning about sociology/psychology and neurological differences. After struggling for years to get much-needed accommodations (for both autism and a physical disability) from public schools and being repeatedly denied, she decided to start learning more about disability law and advocating for herself. This eventually turned into a desire to learn more about advocacy in general, to help other kids in similar situations. Her favorite activity is contortion, but she also enjoys reading and spending time with her cat. She currently coaches on a summer swim league team.

Tia is a high school senior from Southern California. She first became involved within the field of neurodiversity through Autism Speaks, where she is now a committee chair for their annual walk. Tia joined the NNEA core committee to learn more about neurodiversity and play a bigger part in the neurodiverse community. In addition, she hopes to hear more from others about their unique experience. Tia is an avid chess player and enjoys baking in her free time.

Irene Lee is a junior at CAMS High School in Southern California. She participated in the 2022 SNP-REACH program because she had been interested in neurodiversity and neuroscience. She learned about various ways of inclusivity and the challenges, as well as many strengths that neurodiverse people have. In addition, this experience allowed her to be involved in NNEA and work in a team with common interests and goals. She also enjoys playing soccer and listening to music.

Alina Samiullah is a freshman at Portola High School in Southern California. She was an SNP-REACH camper in 2022 and gained valuable knowledge and experiences from it that inspired her to further become an advocate for neurodiversity. She has a passion for helping others, and plans on connecting with her school’s Bulldog Crew Buddy Club to make the school environment more inclusive for everyone. Beyond neurodiversity advocacy, she is a part of her school’s Science Olympiad team. Her favourite activities are reading and baking.
