Attention sophomores and juniors, your yearbook photos have been posted in Commons, the art hallway leading to M9, and outside S107. Please check that your name, photo, and grade are correct. Scan the QR code if you see a problem. Photos must be checked by Friday, November 21! Seniors, your photos will be posted before the winter break.
We have the 2nd half of our king and queen lunch competition TODAY! You might have seen the posters around campus about this. Our homecoming king and queen both picked out their favorite meal to be served at all lunches. Whoever’s lunch gets purchased the most will be the winner of the competition.
Last Friday was our homecoming queens choice, and TODAY is our homecoming king, Conor Clark’s choice of Barbacoa Birria Quesadillas!!!
We can’t wait to see who wins this competition!! If you’re buying lunch today go support!

The Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society will be meeting Tuesday before and after school in D203.
The Marcus Black History Club is partnering with the Flower Mound Fire Department and sponsoring the "Fueling our Firefighters" donation drive. We will be collecting bottled water and crunchy granola bars for the Flower Mound Fire Department. Donation boxes will be located in Mrs. Sistrunk's Room (B211) and the M9 Front Office. You may also contact Mrs. Sistrunk to arrange a pick-up. The donation drive is being held Oct 20th thru Nov 17th. The Flower Mound Fire Department is very thankful. Contact Club President Astor Jones or Club Sponsor Mrs. Sistrunk with any questions.

This weekend, our Academic Decathlon competed at the Irving Invitational and won 2nd place with nearly all of the decathletes medaling in at least one event. The top competitors were Elise Janowski who placed 4th in her division, Sanhit Mooli who placed 5th in his division and Cameron Moncrief who placed 4th in his division. Other team members contributing to the 2nd place finish were Alexander Wong, Mehtaj Singh, Neil Butler, Kaitlyn Kalbac, Victoria Dennis and Zella Ivy.
