2026-2027 class officer and student body officer applications are now available! Come grab an application from Ms. Hahn in C103 or email HahnK@lisd.net to receive a digital application. All applications are due by Friday, March 13 at 12:30 PM to Ms. Hahn.
The month of March is known as National Women's month, to celebrate all the accomplishments of Women in history.
The Women in Stem club would like to recognize all the Influential Ladies in our lives.
Beginning March 2nd you can place orders for Flowers to be delivered to students, teachers, or office staff to celebrate them. Posters have been hung throughout the school with more information and a table will be in the Commons during All lunches (March 2nd-6th). Only Cash will be accepted.

Are you looking for community service hours? The district is offering 2 courses where students can earn up to 2 hours of community service. Students can sign up to learn life saving methods, how to reduce driving risks and receive Stop The Bleed certification. With 2 available dates at 2 locations in the district, there is plenty of opportunity to attend. The course is open to 7th through 12th grade students. Students must be enrolled to attend the course. To sign up, find the QR codes posted in the cafeteria and in hallways around campus.
The Equestrian Club will be meeting Wednesday, March 4th at 3:45 in room S107. All experience levels are welcome and anyone is free to join! Come connect with your peers and gain insight and experience in the equestrian world! Feel free to contact club president Sarah Arnett with any questions!
It was a big weekend for Marcus High School and I have a few big congratulations to give out!
Starting with a huge congratulations to Zain Keshwani, Venkat Giridhar, and Olivia Tang for earning first place in the coding competition! The Computer Science Club had a fantastic day at the Lockheed Martin Code Quest competition, bringing home the First Place trophy. We are so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and dedication. It’s a great day to be a Marauder!
The Marquette officers went to Crowd Pleasers State at Burleson Centennial High School and came home Overall State Champion Officers!!
They won first place in all three dances, as well as Crowd Pleaser awards for Jazz and Novelty and an Artistry Award for Lyrical!
The girls also killed it in the solo category with Daniella Febles placing 7th Runner Up, Abrey Pross placing 6th Runner Up, and Ashlin Knight being named the First Place Solo Winner!!
We could not be more proud of these incredible athletes!!
TAFE brought 10 students to the Teach Tomorrow Summit in Dallas for the state competition! We are so proud of each student who competed! Several groups advanced on to the national level, which will be held in Portland Oregon this summer! Please congratulate them if you see them!

The Marcus Science Olympiad team competed in the Regional competition this weekend at Tarleton State University against 11 other teams and placed second overall! They earned a spot in the state competition, which will be in April.
Over the weekend Academic Decathlon competed at the State Competition in San Antonio and took home 4th place! Please congratulate the following medalists on their amazing performances: Neil Bulter (Honors Division) - 1st music; 3rd in math; 5th in economics, essay, and social science Veda Ganesan (Honors Division) - 5th in essay Elise Janowski (Honors Division)- 2nd in music; 3rd in art; 4th in economics and speech Zella Ivy (Scholastic Division) - 1st in speech; 4th in art Cameron Moncrief (Scholastic Division) - 2nd in economics, music, and social science, 3rd in essay; 5th in literature Sanhit Mooli (Scholastic Division) - 1st in math Mehtaj Singh (Varsity Division) - 1st in speech; 2nd in math; 5th in social science AJ Wong (Varsity Division) - 3rd in math and social science
